Meowchi Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Meowchi iOS application, including TestFlight beta builds, the Meowchi website and early access waitlist, and related communications from Little Snack Studio.

2. Information We Collect

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use Meowchi so we can improve it. This includes product interaction events, session context, technical information collected automatically by Firebase, and an anonymous app instance identifier generated by Firebase.

• Product interaction events - for example: starting or finishing a focus session, ending a session early, opening the Ambient, Decor, or Stats screens, and purchasing in-game decoration items
• Session context - session length, timer mode, whether ambient sound was on, and the general time of day
• Technical information collected automatically by Firebase - device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country inferred from IP address
• An anonymous app instance identifier generated by Firebase

This information is not linked to your real-world identity.

Your focus history, statistics, streaks, mochi balance, and decorated rooms are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers. If you enable iCloud Backup, this data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access.

If you use the in-app feedback form, we receive the issue type you select and the message you write. Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback messages.

When you purchase a subscription or in-app item, we receive confirmation of the transaction through RevenueCat and Apple.

When you join the waitlist on our website, we collect your email address and a simple source label such as landing-page so we know where the signup came from. Our infrastructure providers process technical request data such as IP address, browser details, and server logs for security and reliability.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not show advertising in Meowchi
• We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or request App Tracking Transparency permission
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers
• We do not build advertising or marketing profiles about you
• We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location inside the App
• We do not read or transmit the contents of your focus sessions or personal files

• Understand which features are helpful and which are confusing
• Find and fix bugs, crashes, and performance problems
• See where people get stuck so we can improve the experience
• Decide what to build next
• Manage subscriptions and restore purchases
• Respond to feedback and support requests
• Send launch and testing updates to people who joined the waitlist

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or cross-service tracking.

5. How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only to service providers who process data on our behalf to operate Meowchi, to comply with law, or in a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. If a business transfer happens, we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Permissions (Screen Time - iOS)

Meowchi's Deep Focus Mode uses Apple's Screen Time framework to help block distracting apps during a focus session.

This permission is entirely optional. Screen Time data is processed only on your device, never transmitted to Little Snack Studio or any external server, and not stored, profiled, or monetized by us.

We do not see which apps you choose to allow or block. We only record, anonymously, how many apps you selected - never which ones. You may revoke this permission at any time in your iOS Settings.

8. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Meowchi uses RevenueCat to enable and manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you make a purchase, payment is processed securely by the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of the transaction, such as the product identifier and subscription status. We never receive your name, billing address, or payment card details. RevenueCat assigns a randomly generated app user identifier that is not linked to your real-world identity.

9. Your Controls and Choices

Analytics: Meowchi does not currently include an in-app switch to turn analytics off. The analytics data we collect is anonymous and is not linked to your real-world identity. If you would prefer that we no longer use data associated with your device, email us and we will delete it. Deleting the App stops all further collection.

Delete your data: Deleting the App removes locally stored data from your device. To request deletion of waitlist information or feedback you have sent us, email us using the address in Section 15.

Leave the waitlist: Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us directly.

Manage permissions: Screen Time and notification permissions can be changed or revoked at any time in your iOS Settings.

10. Privacy for Children and Minors

Meowchi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians with concerns may contact us using the address in Section 15.

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the App and the limited data we hold. Analytics data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and our service providers maintain their own security programs.

That said, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to manage permissions and settings through your device and to avoid including sensitive personal information in feedback messages.

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using Meowchi, you understand that your information may be processed where our providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the Last updated date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App, by email, or through an App Store update note. The latest version will always be available at meowchi.app/privacy.

Appendix A - California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Categories we collect: identifiers, including an anonymous app instance identifier and, on the website, your email address if you join the waitlist; internet or other electronic network activity information, including product interaction and usage data; commercial information, including purchase and subscription status; and, if you send feedback, the content of that message.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted without a right to limit.

To exercise any of these rights, email meowchi.app@gmail.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Appendix B - EEA and UK Users

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Controller: Little Snack Studio is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
